Rochester, N.Y. — Rochester Regional Health is making changes to its 2026 benefits plan following a wave of criticism of an unexpected spike in health insurance premiums.
The health system released a statement Wednesday night saying it received “thoughtful and candid feedback” from leaders and team members. It comes roughly a week after RRH sent out notices telling employees it was dropping its lowest health plan and moving to a premium system based on salary.
Some employees’ monthly payment plans were set to increase from $6 to $64. Others were going to increase from $355 to $1,200.
